The Anti-TBR Book Tag

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I decided to do another book tag because they’re fun and I enjoy doing them. And this one in particular is one that sounded really interesting because I don’t think I ever really talk about the books that I don’t ever want to read or anything like that.

I originally found this tag on My World of Books so definitely go check their answers out!

So without any further ado, let’s get onto the tag!

Rainy Day Book Recommendations

Hello, book lovers! 💕

It’s been raining a lot lately where I live, and those kinds of days are perfect to curl up in a blanket and read a good book. Which is something that I like to do as often as I can (whenever I’m in the mood to read, that is).

But there is a certain type of book that I like to read when it’s gloomy outside. And usually that is a cozy book, something atmospheric and that will take me to a different world. In most cases that is a fantasy book. Or even rereading a favorite book.

So today I’m going to give a few recommendations on what to read on those rainy, gloomy days where all you want to do is lay in bed with a good book.

Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli | Book Review

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I’m back with another book review, and this one is going to be a lot of gushing because not only is it a Becky Albertalli book, but it’s one that I absolutely adored. So this review might be a little biased, but nonetheless, these are my thoughts on this book.

So without any further ado, let’s get onto my review!

The following is from Goodreads:

Contrary to popular belief, best friends Kate Garfield and Anderson Walker are not codependent. Carpooling to and from theater rehearsals? Environmentally sound and efficient. Consulting each other on every single life decision? Basic good judgment. Pining for the same guys from afar? Shared crushes are more fun anyway.

But when Kate and Andy’s latest long-distance crush shows up at their school, everything goes off script. Matt Olsson is talented and sweet, and Kate likes him. She really likes him. The only problem? So does Anderson.

Turns out, communal crushes aren’t so fun when real feelings are involved. This one might even bring the curtains down on Kate and Anderson’s friendship.

Books to Read in May | 2021

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I can’t believe it’s already May. It’s crazy to think that this year is almost half over already. But at least it’s nice to have some warmer weather to be able to spend time outside (even though where I live, the weather can’t seem to make up its mind: one day it’s freezing, the next day it’s scalding).

And as always, I’m not sure what I want to read this month. Though it’ll probably consist of many adult romances as well as audiobooks. I don’t know what it is about the warmer weather that makes me want light, fluffy reads but here we are.

Anyway, without any further ado, let’s get onto the books that I’m hoping to read in May!

April Wrap Up | 2021

Hello, book lovers! 💕

How are we already almost 5 months into this year already? It’s seriously going by so fast. It feels like the days are blurring together. And I feel like I just posted my April TBR not too long ago.

For the most part, I’d say that April wasn’t that bad of a reading month. I was able to get through five books, even though one of them I started last month and only read half this month. But I’m not complaining.

So without any further ado, let’s get onto the books that I read in April!

Why I Love Audiobooks | Book Discussion

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I’m sure it’s no surprise that I love audiobooks. And that a majority of my reading gets done because of audiobooks. And I thought I’d take some time to pretty much gush about audiobooks, and why I love them so much. And maybe recommend a few that I’ve loved in the past that might get you interested in picking up an audiobook.

So without any further ado, let’s get onto the discussion!

Goodreads Was Wrong | Book Tag

Hello, book lovers! 💕

Happy Friday everyone! This week seemed to have flew by, though I feel like that happens every week.

I didn’t know what I was going to write about today, so I figured it might be a good time to do a book tag. Because I always have fun doing book tags. I found this one at Literary Weaponry, so definitely check out their answers as well!

So without any further ado, let’s get onto the book tag!

WWW Wednesday | 04.21.21

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve done this type of post (I think it was actually almost exactly a month ago). I also feel like I say that every time I do one of these weekly memes. I’m never consistent with them, but that’s because I don’t read books really fast anymore. So I might be reading a book for more than just one week, and it’d get pretty repetitive.

But I’m back with a WWW Wednesday, which is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The aim is to give an update on what you’ve read and what you plan on reading in the future.

The three W’s are:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

So without any further ado, let’s get onto the meme!

The Dating Plan by Sarah Desai | Book Review

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I’m finally back with a book review. I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve finished a book and could do a book review. I feel kind of rusty so bear with me if my thoughts are all over the place in this post.

So without any further ado, let’s get onto my thoughts for The Dating Plan by Sarah Desai.

Classics To Read | 2021

Hello, book lovers! 💕

This kind of piggybacks off of the post I did on Wednesday where I talked about how I’ve been reading more classics lately and how I’ve been enjoying them. In this post, I want to discuss the classics that I’m interested in reading this year. It’s not a long list, and it’s definitely not set in stone in any way.

But without any further ado, let’s get onto the classics that I want to read this year!
