Hello, book lovers! 💕
This post is going to be very different than my usual posts. But it does pertain to my blog and the direction that I want to go in with it. This past year and a half, I have been unemployed so I was able to write blog posts three days a week pretty consistently.

And I seriously have enjoyed every second of it, even if there had been times where I was feeling a bit unmotivated and the posts were feeling a bit stale. I’ve enjoyed being able to grow this blog from pretty much nothing. I’ve met so many wonderful book lovers and overall great people through this blog.
I’m not saying that I’m going to stop blogging. But I’m about to have some changes in my life that might make blogging a little difficult. If anything, I’m going to have to readjust my schedule for blogging in order to fit it in because it is something that I really do enjoy doing.
So I accepted a job in a daycare, which is similar to what I was doing before I became unemployed. I’m not sure what my work schedule is going to look like, which is why I’m going to have to adjust my blogging schedule. I don’t know if that means scheduling posts ahead of time or changing the times that I upload.

I’m really excited about this new job, mainly because I’ll be able to get out of the house and make money again. But not only that, I’ll also be able to save money to hopefully move out with my boyfriend. It’s something that we’ve been talking about lately, and it couldn’t happen with only him working.
On top of that, I’ll be able to shape little minds and watch them grow and learn, and that’s always such a rewarding experience. That something that I loved when working in the daycare. I’ve always worked with the infants and toddlers, and I love seeing them achieve each milestone, whether it’s taking their first steps or learning the names of different shapes or toys.

In the beginning, I might not be able to post much at all until I get everything situated. The same will be for my Instagram and Etsy shop. I’m still going to try to update those, but I’m going to need some time to adjust from not working to working pretty much everyday full time.
I really hope you guys understand. It’s going to be a journey, but one that I know is going to be worth it. If you have any advice on how to balance a blog with a full time job, I’d love to chat about it in the comments below!

Working with children is so rewarding (and frustrating and exhausting – lol). I wish you all the best at your new job! Congrats!

Congratulations! I’m so excited for you! I can relate to what you are feeling with changing your blogging schedule. I’m going to be leaving the library where I currently work and go back to teaching in August. It will be only my 2nd year teaching so I know all of my focus will be on that for awhile.

Congrats on the new job! I’ve been unemployed too after getting laid off from my teaching job, and I miss working with kiddos, so I know how great it can be. I hope you love it! And don’t stress too much about blogging. It is definitely my happy place, so I understand the importance of it. Just try to cut back a bit, maybe one post a week until you get adjusted. Good luck on the new job 🙂
