Books to Read April | 2021

Hello, book lovers! 💕

I swear I say this every month, but I can’t believe it’s already April. We’re already a third of the way through this year, and that’s crazy to think about.

But today I’m here to discuss the books that I want to read this month. I don’t have too many books on this list so I don’t feel too pressured to read a ton of books. I haven’t been in the mood to read lately, so these books are ones that will be fun and quick.

So without any further ado, let’s get onto the books that I want to read this month!

I definitely plan on reading The Dating Plan by Sarah Desai since I started it at the end of March. I’m not that far into it, but I’m really enjoying it so far. It basically is a fake dating turned into lovers situation, and I usually love those types of books.

And to be honest, I’m in the mood for contemporary romance books this month. I don’t know what it is about the spring, but I like to read lighthearted and fun books as the weather gets warmer.

So the next book that I want to get to this month is Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert. I read Get a Life, Chloe Brown a couple months ago and really loved it. And this one follows Chloe’s sister, Dani. And I’m really excited to see what happens in it because Dani was such a character in the previous book.

I’ll probably get to the next volume of Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson this month as well. I’ve really enjoyed the previous volumes of this series, and I’ve been meaning to get to the next one. I’m only going to put volume 5 on this list because I don’t know if I’ll be able to get through more than that this month.

The last book that I want to get to this month is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I started my reread of the series last month on a whim, and I really want to continue it. It’s a feel-good series for me, even with all the controversy surrounding it. I know I say that every time I mention the series, but I know that there are people out there who want nothing to do with it or J.K. Rowling, which I understand. But the Harry Potter series is so near and dear to me that I can almost separate the book from the author. (Sorry about the tangent that I went on for a minute).

But there you have it. Those are the books that I want to get to this month. Like I said, I don’t have that many on this list mainly so I don’t feel pressured to read a ton of books. Though I’ve also not been in the mood to read, so I picked a few books that I’m pretty excited to read so I might be able to get out of this mini reading slump.

What books do you plan on reading this month? Have you read any of the books that I mentioned? I’d love to chat about them in the comments below!

I am a twenty-something-year-old who is an avid reader. I love anything from young adult fantasy to adult fiction to young adult contemporary. I also love to play video games and draw and watch movies and TV shows. And this is my safe space where I can gush about everything I love.

  1. I hope you enjoy all of your books this month! I am rereading Harry Potter at the moment but this time I am listening to the audiobooks for the first time and Stephen Fry really makes it feel like something special! I am up to The Order of the Phoenix and really enjoying being back in this world!
