Hello, book lovers! 💕

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. The aim is to give an update on what you’ve read and what you plan on reading in the future.

As always, I’m not very consistent with this weekly meme being that I don’t always finish reading a book in a week; sometimes it takes longer since I’ve become a slower reader.

The three W’s are:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I just started Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett this week, but I’m not that far into it, maybe 30 pages. But it’s one of my most anticipated releases for this year. It was supposed to be released in May of this year, but it was pushed back to November. So I’m taking my time with it because I don’t want it to be over. I have loved all of Jenn Bennett’s books, and I know that this one will be no different.

I don’t know too much about it other than the main character, Josie, moved back to her childhood town and keeps running into her former best friend, Lucky. But he wants nothing to do with her. Of course, it’s a romance so it’s a given that they’re going to end up together at some point. I’m excited to find out how.

What did you recently finish reading?

Surprisingly, I just recently finished three books, though one was a comic and really short. The book I read was A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn. It was a random book that I decided to pick up, and it was something that I don’t normally read since it is a historical mystery. But I did actually really enjoy it a lot more than I was expecting to. I plan on doing a review on it within the next couple weeks, so be on the lookout for that.

I also listened to The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater on audiobook. This is the second book in the Raven Cycle, and I really enjoyed this and going on the journey with these characters. I can’t wait to continue on with the series in the near future. I don’t think I’ll do a review on this book only because it’s a sequel and I don’t want to spoil the first book for anyone.

The other book I read, or well comic, was Avatar the Last Airbender: Smoke and Shadow Part 3. I took too long of a break with this series, and I really want to try to finish it before the end of the year. I should be able to if I really put my mind to it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I haven’t gotten to a few of the books that I wanted to read in November, and the month is almost over so I doubt that I’ll be able to get to all of them in five days. And honestly, I’m no longer in the mood to read any of them.

Considering it’s almost December, I think I want to read a Christmasy book. I recently bought The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler and have heard really good things about it as well as the other books in the series. I also want to read more of the Avatar comic series, so I know I’ll be getting to those next.

So there you have it. Those are the books I’m currently reading, recently finished, and plan on reading next. Have you read any of these books? What were your thoughts on them? What books have you recently read? I’d love to chat in the comments below!
