Hello, book lovers! 💕

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts, so I figured it was time. I first saw this on Book Coffee Happy‘s blog. Again, thanks so much to Sam from Taking on a World of Words for hosting!

The 3 W’s are:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I just started The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James. Though I’m not that far into it, maybe 10 pages. But from what I read already, I’m liking it. I’m thinking about listening to the audiobook because I feel like I haven’t listened to one in a while.

I don’t know much about this book other than the fact that it’s a mystery, and there’s some secrets lurking in the shadows of the motel. And that the main character Viv wants to find out what they are. That was enough for me to want to read it, and I think it’s perfect for October.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished The House in the Cerulean Sea by R.J. Klune. And I think it’s one of my all-time favorite books now. I’m planning on doing a book review of it this week, so keep an eye out for that. But this book was so charming and heartwarming and everything I love in a fantasy. It was quirky and enchanting and I absolutely loved it.

If you haven’t picked it up yet, I would highly recommend doing so. You won’t be disappointed.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Since I’m not too far into my current read, I’m not really thinking about my next read. But if I had to choose right now, I’d probably have to say Now Entering Addamsville by Francesca Zappia. If you’ve been around for awhile, you’d know that I love Zappia’s previous book, Eliza and Her Monsters, and I’m really excited for this one.

I didn’t know Francesca Zappia had published another book until I did an Author Appreciation post back in August. But as soon as I learned about this book’s existence, I knew I needed to reading it in October. It deals with ghost stories and mysteries and uncovering a killer. Everything I need in an October read. I’m really looking forward to getting to it this month.

So there you have it. Those were the books that I’m currently reading, recently finished reading, and plan on reading next. Have you read any of these books? What are you currently reading? I’d love to discuss it in the comments below!
