Hello, book lovers! 💕
I’m really pleased with myself that I’m already almost done with a book this week. It almost feels like I’m reading faster, but I think that is just something I’m telling myself to make myself feel better about not reading many books in the last few months. Also, it helps that I’m listening to my current read on audiobook.

So the book I picked up this week and am currently reading is One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London. I had gotten it in my Book of the Month subscription box back in June, and honestly I don’t know what took me so long to actually read it.
I’m absolutely loving it. I love the representation of a plus-size woman who has been struggling with body image all her life. I love how Bea goes into the fashion industry and literally shakes shit up. I love how she goes onto a reality TV show similar to the Bachelorette and again shakes shit up. It’s such a breath of fresh air to read a book about someone who isn’t paper-thin and can still find love. I’ll go more into my thoughts on this book when I finish it and do a more detailed review. But just know that from what I read so far, it’s amazing, and I think that everyone should read it.

The book I recently finished before picking up this one was Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. I did an Author Appreciation post on her last week, and I’ll probably do a book review of Eliza in the upcoming weeks. Because even though I’ve read this book three times, I still absolutely loved it. It’s one that I could most likely read over and over again and not get sick of. It’s one that I think that everyone should read.
It deals a lot with anxiety and depression, as well as the struggle and pressure creators have to put out content that fans would like. It’s so inspirational and powerful and just overall amazing.
I’m not sure what I’m going to pick up next. Surprisingly, the month’s almost over. I swear, each month goes by faster and faster. But I am looking forward to fall and everything that comes with it. So maybe I’ll pick up something a little more atmospheric, like a fantasy. Or maybe an adult fiction. I’m really not sure. But these are what I have in mind:

So there you have it. That’s the book I am currently reading, the book I recently finished reading, and the books that I plan on reading soon. Have you read any of these books? What did you think about them? I’d love to know in the comments below!

Great post! I loved The Poet X, I hope you like it if you decide to pick it up!

Thanks! It’d be a reread if I picked it up! I really liked it the first time I read it, and I know I’ll love it this time too 😊
