Hello, book lovers! 💕
Today, I wanted to do the stuck at home book tag, even though I wasn’t necessarily tagged by anyone. I really enjoy doing tags; they’re fun and quick and a chance to talk about something I don’t normally talk about. But I originally found this tag on jessicacwrites’ blog and decided to do the tag myself. So even though she didn’t necessarily tag me specifically, I’d like to thank her for doing the tag in the first place because that’s how I found it.

The Questions
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading Love, Creekwood by Becky Albertalli. It’s not that long considering it’s a novella, but I love that I get to be with the characters that I loved so much in her previous books.
What’s your favorite “can’t leave the house” activity?
At the being of quarantine, I became obsessed with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It came out in the middle of March, so it honestly was the perfect timing. Then again, I didn’t do much else than play that game.
Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of drawing. I bought myself an iPad and have been drawing on the app Procreate. And I’m obsessed honestly. I’m not much of an artist, but I wanted to practice drawing more.
With both of these activities, I’ve been listening to more audiobooks since they take up so much of my time. I don’t want to cut reading out of my life, so I found a way of multitasking that works pretty well so I can do both.
A book you’ve been meaning to read forever?
There are so many books on my TBR that I’ve been meaning to read that it’d be hard to just pick one. But one that’s been on my TBR the longest has to be Night by Ellie Wiesel. And I think the only reason I haven’t picked it up is because I know it’s going to destroy me when I do.
An intimidating book on your TBR?
I have many books on my TBR that are pretty intimidating, mostly because of their size. For instance, I’ve been putting off the next book in the Mistborn trilogy because it’s over 700 pages. Plus it’s a high fantasy, which is a genre that takes me a while to get through. I also read the first book more than a year ago I think.

Recommend a short book!
I’m not sure what the definition of a short book would be, so I’m going to guess it’s anything less than 400 pages? Either way, I’d recommend Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo (or anything by her honestly).
Recommend a long book!
I haven’t read many long books lately. But the one that comes to mind is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. Though I’m pretty sure everyone has read that book by now.
Something you’d love to do while stuck at home?
I already do so much while I’ve been home. I’ve been reading, playing video games, and drawing. Though I’d thought I’d have been doing more reading than I’ve actually been doing.
Though I recently decided to take some online courses to get my certification in editing. So that’s something I’m going to be working on while at home. As well as trying to get my Etsy shop up and running more.
What do you plan on reading next?
When I finish Love, Creekwood, I’m not sure what I’m going to pick up. Whatever is next on my TBR, which I think is One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London or The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater.
