Hello, book lovers! 💕

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts. And I’ve read enough in the past couple weeks that I’m able to write one, which is pretty exciting. I first saw this on Book Coffee Happy‘s blog. Again, thanks so much to Sam from Taking on a World of Words for hosting!

The 3 W’s are:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I recently started reading Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo. I have read her previous books, and I had absolutely loved them. So when I saw that she was coming out with another book in May, I knew I had to buy it. I’m not too far into it just yet, but I’m already really enjoying it.

One of the main things that I really enjoy about Elizabeth Acevedo’s books is that they’re written in verse. Not only that, but they’re also really powerful read. I get extremely attached and devoted to the characters’ stories, and I know that this one is going to be no different.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I have a book review on my thoughts of this book, but just know that I really enjoyed everything about it. Especially the characters. I have been reading about some well-developed characters lately, and the characters in this book were no exception.

I honestly don’t know what took me so long to pick this book up. I knew that it was beloved by many people who I follow on YouTube and Goodreads, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. But it was. It is. I understand why people love it so much.

What do you think you’ll read next?

There are a few books that I’m thinking about reading after I finish Clap When You Land. One of those is Elizabeth Acevedo’s debut novel, The Poet X, which I had read a couple of years ago and remember really loving.

Another one is Becky Albertalli’s newest novella that came out late last month, Love, Creekwood. Being that I love everything that Becky Albertalli writes, I know I’m going to love this one too. Plus it’s less than 200 pages, so it shouldn’t take me long to get through.

I also want to read the next few Avatar: The Last Airbender comics. Again, those are short, so I should be able to breeze right through them.

So there you have it. Those are the books that I am currently reading, have recently read, and plan on reading soon. What books are you currently reading or have recently read? I’d love to know in the comments below!

I am a twenty-something-year-old who is an avid reader. I love anything from young adult fantasy to adult fiction to young adult contemporary. I also love to play video games and draw and watch movies and TV shows. And this is my safe space where I can gush about everything I love.
