Hello, book lovers! 💕
I can’t believe it’s already another month. But I feel like I’ve said that for the start of every month. This year literally feels like it’s flying by despite everything that’s been going on in the world. But that being said, I don’t really have that many books that I want to get to this month. If I’m able to finish everything that’s on my TBR and get to any other books, that’d just be an added bonus.

I’m currently in the middle of The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. I know this book has been around for awhile (I think that it was published back in 2012, so it’s been out for 8 years already), and I’ve heard such good things about it. I don’t know what took me so long to pick it up, but I’m so glad that I did. It’s everything that I could ask for and so much more.
I also really want to get to Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo. I read her previous books, and I absolutely loved them. So I know I’ll like this one as well. I’m also thinking about rereading her first book, The Poet X, this month since both are written in verse. They should be not only quick reads, but also extremely powerful reads.
And honestly, I’ve read enough of Elizabeth Acevedo’s books by now that I’d read pretty much anything that she publishes because I know that they’ll that good.

The book I chose for my Book of the Month last month was One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London. I’m not too sure what this book is about other than the fact that it follows a plus-size fashion model. Just the fact that it has a heavier main character was enough for me to want to read it. I’m trying to read more diverse books while also trying to get more into adult fiction/romance, and I feel like this fits that pretty well. Plus, after reading a few fantasy books, I know I’ll be in the mood for a contemporary/romance book again. I was kind of taking a break from that genre because of how many I read that disappointed me.
And of course, in between those books, I will most likely read more Avatar: The Last Air Bender comics. I’m really enjoying seeing where the characters ended up after the TV show ended, and I’m so attached to them that I can’t not continue reading the comics.
So there you have it. Those are the books I plan on reading this month. Again, there aren’t that many, but if I manage to finish all of these, then I’ll definitely be picking up more.
Have you read any of these books? Are you planning on reading any of them? I’d love to know in the comments below!

The Poet X and Clap When You Land are both on my TBR!
