Hello, book lovers! 💕
I wasn’t necessarily tagged by anyone to do this tag, but it seemed like a fun one to do. I originally saw it on Jenny’s Review Blog, and I thought I’d try it out myself.
How do you keep track of your TBR?
I’ve been an avid user of Goodreads for years now. It’s where I keep track of my overall TBR. But my monthly TBR’s I keep track of in my bullet journal.
Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?
It’s a combination of both. I’m slowly running out of physical books, and I’ve been trying to use my Kindle a bit more. But most of the books I have on my TBR I don’t own yet so it can go either way.
How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
I’m a mood reader, so it mainly depends on what I’m in the mood to read next. I also keep a monthly TBR so I have an idea of what books I plan on reading in a month.
A book that’s been on your TBR the longest.
I’ve recently gone through my TBR on Goodreads, but as of right now it’s Night by Elie Wiesel. It’s been on my TBR since 2016, though I’m not sure if I’ll get to it anytime soon because I know it’s going to tear me apart when I read it.
A book that you recently added to your TBR.
I recently added Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson. I’ve been meaning to read more diverse books, and this one has a lot of awards and praise.
A book that is on your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover.
I’d be lying if I said I don’t base whether I pick up a book on its cover, but I feel like a lot of readers do that. There currently aren’t many that I’ve solely put on my TBR because of the cover, but one that has a beautiful cover is The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper.
A book on your TBR that you never plan on actually reading.
Last year, I put the book Pirates: The Complete History from 1300 BC to the Present Day on my TBR. But it’s not a book that I never plan on reading. It’s just one that I don’t think I’ll read in one sitting like I would with a fiction novel. It’s more of a textbook that I can only read in short spurts.
An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.
I’ve been waiting for Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett to be released all year. It was supposed to be published in May, but because of Covid-19, the publication date was pushed back until November. I’m hoping it doesn’t get pushed back again because I really want to read it.
A book on your TBR that basically everyone has read except you.
That’s like 90% of my TBR. But one book that I haven’t read yet that everyone has read is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. But I plan on reading it soon.
A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.
There aren’t any specific books that I’ve been directly recommended, but many of the books on my TBR I have found based on people on YouTube or Goodreads. One is Aurora Rising by Aimee Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
A book on your TBR that you are just dying to read.
Most of the books on my TBR I’m dying to read, but one that I’m am absolutely dying to read is Love, Creekwood by Becky Albertalli. I will basically read anything that she publishes no matter what.
The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf.
I currently have 35 books on my Goodreads TBR, but that’s only because I’ve gone through my TBR and deleted a bunch off of it that I wasn’t interested in anymore.
I tag:

Aaah! I’m so excited for Love, Creekwood as well!

I know! I’ve loved everything Becky Albertalli has written, and I know this one will be no different!

Ooo, new tag I haven’t done yet! Lol. Great answers! I’m gonna do this one soon, and I’ll pingback here when I do.

That’s such a fun tag. 😀
I always thought that your tbr is the books you actually own though. If I would count all the books that I wanna read, I’m afraid Goodreads would explode – not that that’s not already possible with the books I actually have at home. 😂
