Hello, book lovers! 💕

I first saw this on Book Coffee Happy‘s blog. Like I’ve said each time I’ve done this kind of post, I am probably going to stick to doing it once a month. It seems to be the trend that I’ve been sticking to. Again, thanks so much to Sam from Taking on a World of Words for hosting!

The three W’s include:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I just started Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. I picked it up on a whim a couple days ago, and I’m not really that far into it to know if I’m liking it yet. But I get the feeling that it’s going to be a quick, fluffy read. Something that I definitely need after all the historical fiction books I’ve been reading.

From what I can tell so far, there’s social media involved in some way. And I think it’s a major part of the story overall. On Goodreads, it says it’s “a fresh, irresistible rom-com…about the chances we take, the paths life can lead us on, and how love can be found in the opposite place you expected.” And that’s pretty much as far as I needed to read on the synopsis of the book to want to pick it up.

Which brings me to this. I just finished Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin. And while I really enjoyed the premise of it, and the ending took a turn I wasn’t expecting (mainly because I’m pretty sure it’s a series, so the events at the end shocked me). It was still a dark and pretty heavy read.

It’s an alternate history of what could have possibly happened if Hitler won during WWII. And my God was it interesting to think about. And kind of scary. I do plan on doing a review of it in the near future, so if you’re interested in the book or my thoughts on it, keep an eye out for it.

I’m honestly not sure what I plan on reading next. I kind of want to pick up something that would be quick and fun. I’m kind of thinking about continuing my way through One Piece, which I’m on volume 25. They don’t take me long to read, and I’m kind of needing to get back into that world.

If not that, then probably another contemporary or romance. I have The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon and Beach Read by Emily Henry on my TBR for this month. I’m not really sure what either of those books are about, but I’ve heard that they’re pretty fun and witty. And I was pretty much sold on that alone. So I might get to one of those next.

But I’m not 100% sure right now. I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself to stick to my TBR this month, and to just let myself read whatever I feel like picking up in the moment. I’m hoping then I’d get out of this kind of rut I’ve got stuck into where I solely pick up audiobooks. I want to enjoy my physical books again.

So those are the book I’m currently reading, the book I recently finished, and some books I think I’ll read next. What are some books you’ve been reading? I’d love to know in the comments below!

I am a twenty-something-year-old who is an avid reader. I love anything from young adult fantasy to adult fiction to young adult contemporary. I also love to play video games and draw and watch movies and TV shows. And this is my safe space where I can gush about everything I love.
